ODS 2026 (International Conference on Optimization and Decision Science 2026) is organized by AIRO, the Italian Operations Research Society. The conference brings together researchers and practitioners working in operations research, optimization, decision science, and data-driven problem solving, with applications across industry, public services, and society.
ODS 2026 will be held in Galzignano Terme, Padua, Italy, from September 7 to September 10, 2026. It
is entitled “Shaping Tomorrow: Optimization and Decision Science for Sustainability” Building on the tradition of previous ODS conferences, ODS 2026 explores research at the intersection of applied mathematics, computer science, engineering, and economics. This conference theme invites contributions at the intersection of modeling, optimization, and
sustainability. Relevant topics include energy and water systems, green logistics and mobility, circular economy planning, climate adaptation, sustainable finance, smart manufacturing, and digital operations for low-impact systems. We welcome work spanning classical optimization, stochastic and robust methods, simulation, reinforcement learning, and data-driven decision science—all with a focus on advancing sustainable outcomes.
Ultimately, the goal of this theme is to explore how Optimization and Decision Science can empower more sustainable choices, foster resilient infrastructures, and contribute meaningfully to shaping a better tomorrow.
